Physical Medicine therapy for acute injury

Physical Medicine treats disease and injury through manipulation, adjustments, heat, electrical stimulation, and/or radiation. It is devoted to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of neurological, musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, pulmonary and other disorders that may produce temporary or permanent impairment and associated functional disability. It provides are for a broad spectrum of disorders including multiple trauma, brain injury, spinal cord disorders and injuries and stroke. It also focuses on restoring function to people with problems ranging from physical mobility limitations to those with complex cognitive impairments.

Musculoskeletal injuries and acute and chronic pain syndromes. This includes the diagnosis and treatment of sports and work injuries, back and neck pain disorders and degenerative conditions such as arthritis.

Work injuries. We can help you get back to work and learn how to do your job more simply and effectively. You can receive endurance and strength training and learn energy conservation and joint protection techniques.

Rehabilitation for impairments and functional limitations resulting from injury, stroke, cancer, or other disorders or accidents.
